How it works

Your Path to Solar—Simple, Clear and Fully Connected

OnMyRoof owns the participant relationship. Installers install, utilities bill and interconnect, program operators dispatch and settle, sponsors fund. We make the whole thing legible from your side.

  1. 01

    Check your address

We resolve your address to a county, likely utility and open programs. Result is labeled an estimate.

  2. 02

    Create an account

Email and password. One purpose-specific consent for your account and privacy — nothing else yet.

  3. 03

    Enroll

Pick a program, read exactly what enrollment means, and agree to that text (we record which version).

  4. 04

    Meet your partner

Before we send anything to an installer or program operator, you authorize that transfer by name.

  5. 05

    Survey → design → permit → install → PTO

Your project timeline shows the owner, target date and blocker for each step.

  6. 06

    Connect once

Utility, solar, battery, EV — each is a separate authorization you can revoke. OnMyRoof only reads.

  7. 07

    Benefit

Savings, backup readiness, grid earnings and your share of the community's impact, each with its source.

What we will never say

  • “Guaranteed savings” — unless a contract guarantees them.
  • “You qualify for a 30% federal credit” — the residential credit ended for systems placed in service after 2025. We show project-specific, effective-dated incentives that passed review.
  • “8 hours of backup” — backup duration depends on your load; it is always an Estimate.
  • “$25M raised” — announced, committed and deployed are different states and we show them separately.
